I studied piano with John Bingham at Trinity College of Music, and with Norman Beedie at the Guildhall School of Music and Drama. I also studied accompaniment with David Newbold at Trinity College.
As a freelance accompanist I have worked with a wide range of soloists, both vocal and instrumental. I am a member of the Rákóczi Duo with tarogato player Marc Naylor (www.britishtarogatoassociation.org.uk). In a recent review, the duo was hailed as 'undoubtedly the most exciting new duo to hit the British musical scene in a long time' (Clarinet and Saxophone Magazine) I was pianist for performances at the Maddermarket Theatre in Norwich of the chamber operas 'The Bear' by William Walton, and 'A Dinner Engagement' by Lennox Berkeley I have excellent sight reading skills, and regularly accompany auditions, recitals and diplomas at London music colleges. I have worked in popular music for several years, as a cabaret accompanist, both solo and in bands; as musical director (Thompson cruise lines): solo cocktail pianist (international 5 star hotels and cruise lines). I am currently one of the resident pianists at the Ritz hotel in London. |
