Additional Info:	Ben trained at Cardiff University where he studied piano with renowned concert pianist Richard Ormrod and composition with Anthony Powers. Ben is currently based in South Wales, where is an active conductor, composer, accompanist, ensemble player, choral singer and piano teacher. Alongside various performances throughout the UK, he has performed as far afield as Paris, Burgundy, Seville, Gibraltar and Krakow. Ben is the current conductor of The Gate Community Choir, Opera Mint, the newly formed Serenata and Wiltshire-based choir Dodecantus. Ben works frequently with Welsh National Opera’s education and outreach department (WNO MAX). Recent projects he has worked on include The Journey, Carbon 12: Songs for the Valleys and The Merman King. He is a keen supporter of new music and is a founding member of Ensemble MWG a contemporary music group, which performs new compositions particularly those of student composers. In his spare time, Ben is an amateur filmmaker and member of folk group Uisge ContraBand.
