Additional Info: Daniel is currently a Masters student at the University of East Anglia, studying with pianist Nigel Clayton at the Royal College of Music. As an undergraduate Daniel studied piano with Francis Reneau and piano accompaniment with Christopher Roberts at the Colchester Institute Centre for Music and Performing Arts. Whilst studying he was awardedthe Canon Jack Award for solo piano, the Colchester Institute Concerto Prize for a performance of John Ireland's Piano Concerto and performed in masterclasses for Alexander Ardakov, Piers Lane and Victor Sangiorgio. In 2006 Daniel was appointed the position of resident accompanist at the Colchester Institute where he continues to accompany lectures and performances across the centre’s departments. Daniel accompanies various instrumental masterclasses given by influential performers, ensembles and lecturers from around the world, most recently with Victoria Soames-Samek (Clarinet) and Florian Kitt (cello). Whilst working on various solo and ensemble projects Daniel has been fortunate enough to receive coaching from Lesley Young (piano), violinist Stephen Bingham and cellist James Halsey (Bingham String Quartet). Daniel also works closely with the members of the Scintillo String Quartet as ensemble pianist and accompanist, and most recently with German soprano Daniela Bechley.

A regular recitalist in Essex, Suffolk and Norfolk, Daniel also performs with soloists and ensembles across the country, a venture in which he explores his interest in the solo and duo repertoire of the 19th Century Romantic and 20th Century British composers. His programmes explore the entire compass of the piano repertoire, with works by Beethoven, Schumann, Debussy and Ireland as well as uncovering lesser known works by composers including Copland and Piazzolla.

This year Daniel has been giving piano recital performances of works including Mendelssohn’s Variations Serieuses op.54 and duo recitals with cellist Christopher Slatter of works by Frank Bridge and Frederick Delius. Future performances in 2011 will see Daniel making his professional concerto performance debut with the Southend Symphony and the University of East Anglia Orchestras, performing Shostakovich's 2nd Piano Concerto, and solo recital performances of Beethoven’s Sonata in Ab Major op.110 and Sonata in Eb Major op.81a “Les Adieux” as well as Clementi’s Sonata in G Minor op.50 no.3 "Didone abbandonata".
