Additional Info:	I have been in this field for about 40 years, with over 30 as a conductor. The bulk of my work is in opera, but I also do musical theater, and in fact I usually conduct it in the summer, in addition to opera work. I like being involved in both areas and feel that there is a lot to be learned from each discipline with regard to performing expressively, while being faithful to the score. I have also done a fair amount of stage direction, and have also done "singing" translations for about a dozen opera. I enjoy the "process" almost more than the product.
