Harout Senekeremian was born on Nov 1, 1982. His father discovering
that he had an ear for music at the age of four started him with piano lessons.
By the age of six he had given his first public recital. He then went on to take
part in many piano competitions in California earning many prizes at an early age.
At the age of 9 he started lessons at the prestigous Colburn School of Performing Arts
in Los Angeles. Under the tutelage of Dr. Louise Lepley he started performing in many
recitals the Colburn school would host. He became greatly involved with chamber music
during the last 2 years of his studies at the Colburn school. His quartet was then invited
to perform live on 91.5 KUSC radio where they played the Brahms c minor piano quartet.
Mr. Senekeremian left the Colburn school to continue his education at Oberlin
Conservatory of Music. He then studied with Alvin Chow for his entire undergraduate.
During his years at Oberlin, he had given many recitals and was also involved with a
great deal of chamber music. His love for music had grown enormously. His junior recital
had consisted of the first 5 of 10 Scriabin sonatas. He also performed the last 5 of
the extremely difficult set of Scriabin sonatas in a recital at Oberlin. His senior and final
recital we would hear such works of Marc-Andre Hamelins prelude and fuge which has found
to be a very difficult work in the piano literature.
Harout Senekeremian is now residing in Los Angeles where he continues to take
part in many international piano competitions around the world. He has performed numerous
times to sold out audiences and has been claimed "A supervirtuoso". He has also started to
teach private students along the way and has been invited to perform at many private
engagements around the Los Angeles area. |
