Ivan Kyurkchiev was born in Sofia, Bulgaria. He has graduated the National
School of Music “Lyubomir Pipkov” and has been awarded with a prize named
Peter Chernev for a contribution in the music – piano art. In the period 2000-2005 he has studied for his Bachelor degree in the National Academy of Music “Pantcho Vladigerov” in prof. Milena Mollova’s piano class.
Currently he is studying for a Master degree in the Koninklijk Conservatorium Brussels , working with prof. Boyan Vodenitcharov.
He is winner of
many international and national competitions – he won two times first prize at the International Competition
“Young Musical Talents”, Sofia;
he won first prize at the International Competition “Hopes, Talents and Maters”,
Dobrich.
Ivan is laureate of the VI International Competition for Russian Music, Pleven; won third prize
at the International Competition “Citta di Sressa”, Stressa, Italy; First prize in the National Festival “Music
and the new Millennium”, Sofia.
He is laureate of the 3rd International "Sergey Taneev" Competition in Kaluga, Russia
He won second prize at the International "Albert Russel" Competition in Sofia.
As a scholarship student, the Academy of Music in 2002
sent him to the International Summer Music Festival “Prague – Vienna – Budapest”, in Vienna, Austria.
He has many concerts as a soloist as well as with symphonic orchestras in Bulgaria, Greece,
Cyprus, Austria. |
