José Luis Reyes Lopez was born in Cadiz (Spain), began his musical studies in his hometown at the age of 10 at the Royal Conservatory of Music Manuel de Falla. He has finished elementary grade music specializing in piano score with honors, earning the same year in a competition and was awarded unanimously the "Honor Award" for his promotion, under the supervision of D. Ignacio Arenas Ibáńez, third generation disciple of maestro and composer Manuel de Falla.
Later on at a professional level he obtained the highest marks in a piano master class with pianists Ms. Pilar Bilbao, Ms. Ana Guijarro, Mr. José Manuel de Diego. Simultaneously he learned musical piano with vocal music, belonging to various groups in his city.
Subsequently, he expanded studying for vocational training with a music degree at the High Conservatory of Music "Manuel Castillo" in Seville under the supervision of Professor Mr. José Manuel de Diego and later with Mr.José Antonio Barroso at the High Conservatory of Music "Padre Antonio Soler" in San Lorenzo de El Escorial (Madrid).
His role has consisted of piano teacher, music education, music and movement, and choral conducting at various music schools such as City of Madrid Arganda del Rey, Torres de la Alameda, Villalbilla, New Baztán, under the "Prisma "CAM, likewise for the School of Music in Music Real Madrid. Since then he has combined his teaching with that of performing in various concert performances as a chamber music specialist.
Before coming to USA, he served as professor of piano and choir director at the newly created School of Music "San Felipe Neri" in Cadiz, having been co-author of the creation of the School where he combined his activities as the secretary and research head.
At this time I teach in a private music academy near to Richmond, VA and simultaneously I teach private lesson in my home-studio. |
