Additional Info:	Hi! I am Joe De Winkle. I am originally from Grand Rapids, Michigan, and am currently a junior Music Education major at Anderson University in Anderson, IN. I have been playing piano since I was 4 or 5, and accompanying since middle school. ACCOMPANYING EXPERIENCE Choirs: -AU Women's Chorus (recorded for Candles & Carols 2008 CD & DVD) -Anderson Area Children's Choir (Student Intern & Accompanist) -High School & Middle School Choirs -Church Choirs Soloists: -AU's School of Music - mostly for singers' private lessons. I have played for recitals, exams, evaluations, competitions, and such. -Have also accompanied instrumentalists & singers for Solo & Ensemble Festivals Shows: -Music Director/Arranger/Co-re-writer/Accompanist for "Section 8" at AU -Music Intern (Voice Coach) & Accompanist for Children's Opera Workshop in Grand Rapids, MI -Assistant Music Director for the opera "Cendrillon" (Cinderella) by Jules Massenet, at AU PIANO EDUCATION -Studied piano privately for 9 years before college -Currently study with Dr. Randall Frieling -Have studied accompanying with Dr. Frieling AWARDS -Recipient of the Zachary J. Novak Endowed Scholarship for excellence in Voice & Piano, as well as for Character -Recipient of a Special Music Award for Outstanding Achievement in Composition -Recipient of a grant from the Grand Rapids Community Foundation for excellence in Arts Leadership OTHER MUSICAL ENDEAVORS -Study Piano with Dr. Randall Frieling -Study Voice with Dr. Fritz Robertson -Study Composition with Dr. Jonathan Brooks -Member of the AU Chorale -Former member of the AU Wind Ensemble (French horn -Currently the Vice-President/President-Elect of AU's Collegiate chapter of Music Educators National Conference. -Have teaching experience with Anderson Area Children's Choir, Grand Rapids Civic Theatre, and Children's Opera Workshop (Grand Rapids, Mich.) -First major composition, "Salvator", for 8-part divisi choir & piano, was premiered by my HS choir in May 2007, with me accompanying -Other performed compositions: "Nada", for voice & piano, premiered March 2009; Movement 1 of "Amerika", for String Quartet, premiered October 2009. -Was a Prince in AU's production of "Into the Woods" -Was a Wickersham Monkey in "Seussical" -Played the role of Il Podestà (the mayor) in Mozart's "La finta giardiniera", also at AU
Fees:	Will be negotiated depending on service and time requested. I don't have a "set" fee - it depends on scheduling and difficulty of the service. (usually $50 or so for Solo & Ensemble type things.)
