Roxana-Yvonne Cosereanu was born on 1st April 1981 and graduated the National
College of Arts “Ion Vidu” Timisoara in the year 1999, where she studied with professors
Robert Schrodt (currently piano professor at Universitat der Kunste Berlin) and Maria
Bodo. In her school years, she participated at numerous competitions, with extremely
successful results. Here are some of them: 1st Prize and the Special Prize for the best
performance of a Romanian piano work- Pianoforte Contest „Golden Orpheum”- Targu-
Jiu, 1995; 2nd Prize at the National Competition of Music- Iasi, 1996; 2nd Prize at the
National Competition of Music- Resita, 1997; 1st Prize at the National Competition of
Music- Odorheiu-Secuiesc,1998. She graduated the Faculty of Music in Timisoara in
2006, at the Class of Prof. Sorin Petrescu. Amongst the masterclasses she attended are
the ones with Jean-Francois Antonioli, Georg Sava, Logan Skelton, Massimiliano
Valenti.
Her artistic activity is widely spread, as she plays in Romania and abroad (Hungary,
Germany, Italy, Serbia). She frequently collaborates with the Philharmonic “Banatul”
from Timisoara. Her repertoire is rich and diverse, as she approaches also chamber
music, where she collaborates successfully with many instrumentists and singers.
Roxana-Yvonne is also a Semifinalist of Concorso Internazionale di Pianoforte e
Orchestra “Citta di Cantu” 2005 and “Beethoven” Piano Competition, Arad, 2007. She
won the Second Prize at the “Mozart” Piano Competition held in Timisoara in 2006.

Besides her rich concert life, Roxana-Yvonne Cosereanu is also a piano, corepetition and
