What am i here for?:
I am very interested to be a piano accompanist for anyone taking
- grade 1 to grade 5 practical exams
- individual or group who wish to practise with a pianist
- individual or small group performances
- easy to intermediate things
-wind band/ symphonic band piano accompaniment
- etc
I hope to
-gain experience
-expose myself and familiarise myself to accompanying
-further improve my accompanying skills
Piano:
-started learning piano at the age of 15 with a music school but stopped after about 1 year and started learning on my own
-went to find a private piano teacher at the age of 19, i am 22 years old this year
-the only piano exam i took was ABRSM grade 2 piano. However, i am currently preparing for my grade 8 exam.
I accompanied ABRSM grade 3, grade 5 clarinet and flute practical exams before.
I also accompanied many wind band players for practises.
My latest piano accompaniment experiences are: Accompanied Singapore Polytechnic Symphonic Band in one of their annual major concerts and accompanied Philharmonic Youth Winds for an annual concert, both at Esplanade Concert Hall.
I have extremely great interest in learning and becoming a piano accompanist.
Wind/ Symphonic/ Concert Band Experience:
-joined the brass band when i was primary 4, age 10, playing the trombone
-then i played the saxophone during my 4 years of secondary school days with the symphonic band
-after that, i started learning flute, age 17, and joined the symphonic band in my polytechnic school and currently still learning
I got into the Singapore Armed Forces Band during my national service, absorbed into regular service after 1.5 years, currently a regular musician in the Singapore Armed Forces Central Band.
I have a ABRSM grade 8 flute and grade 5 theory so far. Taking Licentiate Diploma for flute this year. |

S$ 40.00 Singapore Dollars Per Hour
For accompanying grade 1 to 5 practical exams, S$30 to S$50 per rehearsal about 60 minutes. S$50 for exam day.
