ABRSM Grade 8 piano practical-Merit. ABRSM Grade 6 music theory Pass. Cambridge O Levels L1R5 15 points. I am 18 this year, Chinese Singaporean studying classical piano at Lasalle College of the Arts. I have piano, keyboards, guitar and drum playing experience at primary, secondary school, college, Youth For Christ outreach events, Singapore Youth Festival for Drama, Church and nursing homes. Currently teaching at Express Music Singapore.
My recent piano performing experiences:
-Served in Poly Band, part of Performing Arts ministry in an event held in YMCA(Young Men’s Christian Association) as a keyboardist (Sept 2010)
-Part of the team in Lasalle College of the Arts performing arts foundation production 2010
-Accompanied ballet and singing (musical theatre) classes on the piano in college(ongoing)
-Rehearsed with Showcase 2011 musical theatre students in my school’s production by accompanying them on the piano in 2010
About me: I have been trained classically since young, so I have the musical and theory background for chord progressions, and I have been participating actively in church worship, school productions, bands, organizations playing pop keyboards. Thus, I can improvise and compose on the spot. I have experience in performing at different venues and playing different genres of music. By constantly finding opportunities to perform in school and public organizations, I learnt a lot of lessons that could not be taught by a teacher, but only through experiences in working with people. I am passionate about the piano, and I hope that I can help ballet students, instrumentalists, musical theatre singers and bands to enjoy their rehearsals or lessons by providing nice piano accompaniment for them. I would love to audition or sit in one of your rehearsals or lessons some time soon. (: |
