hello, I'm Scotty Wright, just joining up. I'm a self-taught jazz singer/pianist/songwriter. well versed in the 'Great American Songbook' - Cole Porter, Gershwin, Rodgers/Hart, Kern, Arlen, etc.
Also the jazz standards: Miles, Monk, Duke, Evans, Silver and so on.
I'm open to work as accompanist for other singers, or for wind players. My reading is only fair, my rhythm is strong, and I'm a good arranger.

I also sing, compose and arrange, and enjoy playing Rhodes, Wurlitzer, and Hammond B3 organ.
Looking forward to chatting with all of you!

Hello,
Its nice to finally see a site for accompanists. Its something I wanted to start a decade+ ago and good to see that someone did it. I hope it takes off. I myself have been an accompanist all my life, graduated from Conservatory in '79 have been lucky to make a living at it. Now I find myself looking for people to sub for me and I get requests for other pianists all the time. I like to take on the interesting and good gigs, and still find time to compose, so this site is perfect.
If you need a pianist near San Francisco, CA, I work part time in the greater Bay Area and have many references. Contact me for a reliable and competent classical accompanist and sign on to this site if you are one.
All the best to everyone in the music world.
