Additional Info:	Ken Gee studied piano with Edna Smith, Reginald Bedford and Boris Berlin, and performed in many master classes. A winner of many performance scholarships, Ken is an experienced recitalist, concerto soloist, accompanist, and chamber music player. He has also taught privately and at various colleges, and adjudicated at music festivals. He works mainly with choirs and stringed instruments (and has a strong knowledge of violin and cello repertoire), but also flute and clarinet. He also has worked in professional orchestral and musical theatre, as well as in opera productions and vocal recitals. He is the accompanist for Guelph Youth Singers and the Suzuki String School of Guelph, Ontario, and has also been a piano adjudicator, private teacher and chamber music coach. He is a regular accompanist at competitions, workshops, Suzuki summer Institutes in Montreal and Waterloo. While performing at professional concert level, he enjoys working with students (including youngsters) and treats their performances with professional care. In May 2007, he introduced Guelph Musicfest, a concert series in the Guelph Youth Music Centre Recital Hall ( http://guelphmusicfest.ca ). This year’s theme is From Russia with Love, and the series features The St. Petersburg String Quartet). In 2008, he was the recipient of a City of Guelph Mayor’s Award. Ken lives in Guelph with his violinist wife, Paule Barsalou (director of the Suzuki String School of Guelph).
