I am a Professional pianist with years of performing experience.
I was educated at St. Mary's Music School, Edinburgh where I took part in concerts with other instrumentalists and gained experience as an accompanist. I then went into the RNCM in Manchester where I was asked my many singers, violinists and woodwind players to accompany them for internal recitals and auditions. In doing so, I learned much of the repertoire.
Since leaving the RNCM, I took on a post as Director of Music and organist at my local church and continued to perform with my friend who is a violinist. We were sponsored by my own bank on one occasion to give a recital in my hometown of Halebarns.
I currently train a choir at a local church and enjoy rehearsing with them on the piano and organ.
I have in recent years performed with other instrumentalists, including a violinist and clarinettist for a concert and audition. The audition with the clarinettist was successful in that she was accepted into the orchestra she was applying to become a member of.
I have exceptional sight reading skills which is something I have been complemented on and can learn accompaniments at extremely short notice.
