Alison Blenkinsop started piano lessons when she was six, and discovered a talent for accompanying in her teens. After a career in nursing and midwifery, partly with the Church Mission Society in Pakistan, she now enjoys having more time to play the piano for entrants at music festivals and exams, and various choral groups including St Richard Singers in Chichester. She loves writing song-parodies, especially about breastfeeding; many of these appear in her book Fit to Bust – a comic treasure chest, in support of the advocacy work of Baby Milk Action. She lives in Pagham near the parish church, which she attends as an active member, and loves living close to the beach and swimming in the sea. She is happy to host rehearsals in her home, or to travel to musicians' homes with her electric piano.

Alison can be seen on YouTube, accompanying Elvetham Community Choir in 2014 and 2015.
