I began taking piano lessons at age 10. My teacher decided (for some unknown reason) that I should also play the organ so I began taking lessons on the organ the next year. I played for my first wedding at age 12 and have played for over 400 since then.
I became the regular church organist on the pipe organ at Trinity Episcopal Church in Bend, Oregon at age 13.
I continued to play for services every Sunday until I left for college. I then proceeded to play at different churches on the west coast until I was 50 years old when I decided to take a break from playing every Sunday morning. I still play for services on occasion as well as many different concerts, events and Grotto performances during the holidays.
I currently accompany high school, community and church choirs on a regular basis. I also accompany soloists at NATS competitions and state solo and ensemble contests.
I can play classical, pop and jazz. I am an excellent sightreader and I can play off of chord charts.
