Gabrielle Cayoun is a collaborative pianist based in Melbourne who works primarily an accompanist, ensemble pianist, repetiteur and teacher.
Gabrielle received her AMusA diploma at age 17 and holds a Bachelor of Music in Classical Performance (Piano) from the University of Tasmania Conservatorium of Music (2021), where she received the Conservatorium Full Scholarship and was twice awarded the Royal Over-Seas League Piano Award.
Passionate about working with others, Gabrielle is regularly engaged as a collaborative artist for chamber ensembles, choirs and stage productions, and is employed at schools and studios as both an accompanist and teacher. She has extensive experience working with children and young people, accompanying for student concerts, masterclasses, eisteddfods, junior musicals, and assessments/exams up to the tertiary level.
Previously based in Hobart, Gabrielle was staff accompanist at the UTAS Conservatorium and the Tasmanian Youth Orchestra. Active in Tasmania's musical theatre scene, she has worked on over 30 productions over the past 7 years as a rehearsal pianist and pit musician. She has performed in stage shows with the Australian Tenors and violinist Ian Cooper, and has performed at arts festivals including Dark Mofo, Mona Foma, the Unconformity Festival, and Festival of Voices.
