Lesley Woods (formerly Lesley Day) is a highly experienced piano accompanist, trained at the Royal College of Music, with a DipRCM Performer and DipRCM Teacher. Lesley also has Master of Music degree awarded with Distinction. With extensive experience in collaborative performance, Lesley regularly accompanies instrumentalists and vocalists for graded examinations, music festivals, concerts, and auditions, as well as working with choirs and choral societies.
Highly regarded for confident and supportive ensemble playing, excellent sight-reading, and stylistic awareness, Lesley provides reliable and musical support across a wide range of repertoire. She has worked with performers of all ages and abilities, from beginners preparing for their first examination to advanced musicians performing at diploma and professional level.
In addition to accompanying, Lesley is a fully qualified piano and music theory teacher, offering tuition from beginner through to diploma level. This teaching experience enhances her work as an accompanist, allowing her to offer informed musical guidance on interpretation, rhythm, balance, and performance preparation.
