As an accompanist I have excellent sight reading skills and the ability to follow and adjust my playing to support whoever Im working with. I like to think Im a sensitive accompanist whos an extension of the soloist. Most of my accompanying experience is in musical theatre with vocalists but I regularly accompany vocalists and instrumentalists in Jazz, pop and other contemporary styles. I am able to improvise and read off lead sheets as well as create arrangements and do transpositions. I have a lot of experience accompanying choirs and playing for music exams. I also have the facility to bring my own Roland digital piano for venues or rehearsal rooms without a piano. Please visit my website www.jamesahall.co.uk for more details
