I’ve been playing piano for over 18 years. I started accompanying for churches, choirs, and students at age 13. Since high school I have played in pit orchestras, church choirs, high school and college choirs, voice students of musical theatre and classical genre, community theatre auditions, college auditions, professional theatre audtions and productions. I’ve accompanied and music directed for kids theatre programs, professional theatres, and many more. I recently music directed and played piano for Great Plains Theatre in Kansas. I’m mainly a singer/actress. Piano is just a side job that most people don’t even know I have and are really surprised when I can share my skills with them. I love to accompany. It is a shared performance with the singer yet trying to feature and help the singer as much as possible. My strengths are in sight-reading. I can play JRB, Sondheim, Guettel,Bernstein, etc. Being an actress myself, I have the advantage of knowing the music already, if not having sung it myself already.
