I began playing piano at age five and studied with Corey McVicar at the San Francisco Conservatory of Music's pre-college program as a pre-college scholarship student. In 2024, I graduated from UC Berkeley with dual degrees in microbial biology and music, studying with Jeffrey Sykes. While I've earned top prizes in solo competitions like the Vancouver International Music Competition and Los Angeles International Liszt Competition, much of my recent work has centered on chamber music and collaborative playing. I spent a summer at the Music@Menlo Chamber Music Institute, deepening my ensemble skills, and have gone on to perform piano trios by Ravel, Brahms, and Schubert, Rachmaninoff's two-piano suites, and Beethoven and Poulenc chamber works, partnering with violinists, wind ensembles, and vocalists in duo and small-ensemble settings. I've also had the opportunity to work on four-hand repertoire and choral accompaniment for works like the Mozart and Duruflé/Fauré Requiems. Most recently, I was invited by the Chamber Music Society to perform in Florida alongside violinist Richard Lin, and I also collaborated with the UC Berkeley Symphony Orchestra and Palo Alto Philharmonic on Rachmaninoff's Piano Concerto No. 2. Alongside this, I've supported fellow musicians by accompanying numerous studio and senior recitals, and I continue to teach piano while actively seeking further collaborative and accompanying opportunities.
