Ifen Chuang, a former piano faculty member at Aletheia University, earned both her master’s and bachelor’s degrees in piano performance from The Cleveland Institute of Music.

During her studies, she deeply immersed herself in practicing duo pianos and accompanying. Professors at CIM acclaimed her, stating, “We’ve never seen a musician with such strong sight-reading abilities.” Ifen was invited to hold numerous recitals in Altoona, Lima, Hudson, Ashland, and Chicago between 1991 and 1996. Newspaper reviews praised Chuang as "a gifted and powerful pianist" and noted that "with passion for musical expression, she exudes charisma."

Ifen was awarded a scholarship from the Aspen Festival, where she studied under Juilliard professor Herbert Stessin. Another renowned piano professor, John Perry, acknowledged her dynamic expression during master classes.

Chuang studied chamber music with Vitya Vronsky Babin, Anne Epperson, Anita Pontremoli, and Vivian Weilerstein. She also studied Piano Pedagogy with Olga Radosavljevich for two years. In addition to her solo recitals, she served as an accompanist in many chamber music performances and competitions.

With 16 years of teaching experience in universities, Ifen's students have won numerous awards in various piano competitions. Apart from her teaching duties, she has presented numerous solo, chamber, and duo-piano recitals in Taiwan and the United States.

Drawing from her extensive experience coaching students in chamber music at the university level, she consistently helps students perform at their best in competitions and auditions.
