Hello,
I am a professional pianist working in the Birmingham area. I collaborated with international artists in the UK, France, US and Korea and have a comprehensive repertoire of chamber music (Sonatas, Trios, Art Songs). I currently play for dance classes at Elmhurst Ballet School and Royal Ballet School Birmingham.
Korean by birth, I earned my Doctor of Musical Arts degree (DMA - PhD equivalent) in Piano Performance at the Peabody Conservatory of the Johns Hopkins University under the tutelage of Boris Slutsky after having completed the Diplôme de Formation Supérieur (Bachelor + Master integrated degree) in Piano, Piano Accompaniment, and a Master's degree in Applied Music Theory at Conservatoire National Supérieur de Musique (CNSM) de Paris, France. I was also one of the last students of the legendary pianist, Elisso Virsaladze at University of Performing Arts Munich where I obtained Meisterklassendiplom.
As a collaborative pianist, I worked as an accompanist of the conducting class at F. Chopin Conservatoire in Paris, as an Accompanying Graduate Assistant at the Peabody Conservatory. Inspired to guide young generation, I taught piano to pupils aged from 5 to 17 privately, at Coventry Music Hub, and Bablake School as a Visiting Music Teacher. As a solo pianist, I have performed throughout Europe and Korea.
