My first experience as an accompanist was at age 15 when I got a part-time job accompanying the ballet class at a dance studio near my home.

A few years later, my sight-reading skills helped me as a musical theater accompanist with a local high school and then in amateur musical theater in the Ventura County area.

After high school, I studied piano with Dr. Rex Cooper at Pacific Conservatory at University of the Pacific (UOP) in Stockton CA. I was also trained to accompany vocal and instrumental soloists from UOP. Some of my conservatory peers still contact me today to perform with them or their current students decades after we have all graduated.

After graduation, I excelled as a church accompanist because of my sight-reading skills. It lead to accompanying church musical productions like the ones presented at Easter and Christmas.

These days, I teach piano students in the Ventura County area. I'm open to accompanist gigs--including middle and high school choirs, local students and adults.
