I started playing music at the age of six years with self made instruments. I was involved in the school and church choir as a kid. After completing my matric, I furthered my studies in music, where I chose the piano as my preferred instrument as I loved playing it. I went on to do my grades, theory of music and practical as a pianist. Having completed my course, I joined Mofolo Art Center, where I furthered my knowledge and experience behind the keyboard. Mofolo Art Center known for producing good artists from various areas including Soweto, allowed me to experience and fall in love with music on a deeper level. The first band I played with was named, Dipororo Afro Band. We performed at various events ranging from Community halls to private functions all around Gauteng province. After years working in the industry I played with musicians such as Mercy Pakela, Brenda Fassie, Themba Mokeona, and Mike Mahlalimela which are amongst the most noticeable names. This also allowed me to play not only around Africa but in various festivals such as Germany, Sweden and France. Later working on a cruise ship for six months alongside Napo Mashiyane. I also have performed solely at hotels, restaurants, and festivals using backing tracks for a compilation of styles. Currently passing on my skills, knowledge and experience to the younger generation in an NGO called Safe Study.
