My qualifications include a DipABRSM, BMus and MA degrees from NYU, and a PhD in UBC. I have 15 years of experience collaborating with musicians in various western and non-western genres of music, both in notated and improvised settings. I am interested in concepts of tension/release in music performance, and in historical performance practices. I also consider myself a good sight-reader, and a musically sensitive collaborator.
