Eymen Geylan is a collaborative pianist and educator originally from Turkey, currently based in San Antonio, Texas. She began her formal musical training at Dokuz Eylül State Conservatory before moving to the United States in 2016 to continue her studies. She holds both a Bachelor of Music and a Master of Music in Piano Performance from the University of Texas at San Antonio, along with a Piano Pedagogy Certificate.
During her graduate studies, Eymen served as a Graduate Assistant Accompanist for the Voice Department at UTSA, where she collaborated extensively with singers in weekly lessons, studio classes, juries, and recitals. Her work required a high level of musical adaptability, strong sight-reading, and close collaboration with both students and faculty. In her first year of graduate study, she was also selected as one of the pianists for Lyric Theatre productions, participating in rehearsals and performances of staged vocal works.
In addition to vocal collaboration, Eymen has worked extensively with instrumentalists and composers. She has accompanied instrumental juries and recitals, performed in piano duo settings, and collaborated with composition students in the performance of original works, including premieres presented in graduation recitals. Her versatility as a collaborative pianist spans a wide range of repertoire and performance settings.
As a soloist, Eymen performed Franz Liszt’s Piano Concerto No. 2 with the South Texas Symphony Orchestra, demonstrating both technical command and artistic depth. In recognition of her achievements, she was awarded the Outstanding Graduate Student Award by the College of Liberal and Fine Arts (COLFA) at UTSA.
Eymen is also an active educator and entrepreneur. She is the co-owner of the Institute of Musical Arts in San Antonio, where she teaches students ranging from beginners to advanced levels. During her graduate studies, she served as a Teaching Assistant for Class Piano, instructing multiple levels of group piano courses and developing a strong foundation in pedagogy.
She is a member of the Music Teachers National Association (MTNA) and presented at the MTNA National Conference in 2023 in Reno, Nevada, reflecting her ongoing engagement with the broader music education community.
Eymen Geylan continues to perform and collaborate with vocalists, instrumentalists, and ensembles, bringing a thoughtful and responsive approach to every musical partnership.
