Pianist, graduated in 1991 in the il “A.Vivaldi” Conservatory in Novara with the best mark studying with M.° Ettore Borri, he continues studying in Geneva (CH) with the italo-argentinian pianist Eduardo Vercelli, pupil of Carlo Zecchi.
After a short period studying with Massimiliano Damerini , with wich he deepens the study of the twentieth-century repertoire, he is pupil of Franco Scala, in “Incontri col Maestro” Academy in Imola.
In 1996 he gets to know M.° Fausto Zadra pupil of Vincenzo Scaramuzza in Buenos Aires and after of Carlo Zecchi in Roma.
It is, infact, due to this great italo argentinian pianist and teacher and to the unbroken going round his seminars at l’Ecole Internationale de Piano in Lausanne (CH), that he can deepens and study each aspect regarding “living” and interpreting Music at the Piano.
He obtained prizes in various musical competitions Asti, Stresa (for Chamber Music) and Albenga (where he performed the F.Chopin’s 12 Studies Op. 10).
He also wanted to complete his musical and cultural training with the achievement, in 1996, of the Composition degree at Milan Conservatory studying with M.° Irlando Danieli, pupil of Franco Donatoni.
Now he is also studying conducting with M.° Romolo Gessi in the European Conducting Academy in Vicenza (Italy).
After M° Zadra’s unexpected death, Fabio Sormani has the great occasion to continue his studies with another great pianist and teacher: Leonid Margarius, pupil of Regina Horowitz, with whom he’s still studying. He is piano accompanist in Conservatorio “Agostino Steffani” in Castelfranco Veneto (TV-Italy) and in Conservatorio "Arrigo Pedrollo" in Vicenza (Italy).
