Dr. Po Sim Head (Fanny), a dedicated musicologist and pianist, is known for her profound dedication to uncovering and disseminating the works of lesser-known musicians, especially those from Latin America. She has released several albums highlighting the compositions of Peruvian composer Francisco Pulgar-Vidal and Ecuadorian composer Blanca Layana Gomez. Dr. Wong's influence extends beyond her home country, as she has had the privilege of performing both nationally and internationally. Her guest performance at the Musicantes II festival in Lima, Peru, this past September is one of the testaments to her global influence.

Born and raised in Hong Kong, Fanny received her undergraduate degree in Music Composition from Hong Kong Baptist University. She subsequently pursued her master’s degrees in Piano Performance and Musicology from the University of Missouri-Kansas City and her doctorate in Piano Performance and Pedagogy from the University of Kansas, where she was a student of the esteemed pedagogue Dr. Scott McBride Smith.
