I am a competent and some say gifted musician. I taught Music in State Schools for 10 years, after which I ran my own successful business restoring and tuning pianos - until a dip in their popularity stopped my trading. I still work as a tuner - and still play the piano every day! I am 64 years old, but reasonably fit. I like to play all sorts of music from Classical through to Blues and even some soft rock. I am available to play most days or evenings but would require transport to and from gigs.

I reached Grade 8 in piano exams and can sightread up to a medium difficulty. I won a junior exhibitionist award for 5 years to Trinity College of Music when I was 12 and have composed over 30 songs and musicals. I have two songs published by A & C Blacks, in one of their school music books. Perhaps you know one of them? "Cauliflowers fluffy'? It's called Paintbox and features in the Harvest section.
I can play Blues in most keys and can improvise extensively in a variety of different styles. I have experience of playing for ballet, folk, tap, national dancing, having worked for several dance schools for a number of years. I also have experience of accompanying singers and other instruments.
