First started accompanying fellow students' exams whilst studying for BA in Music at Anglia Polytechnic (now Ruskin) University. Enthusiasm thus generated led to further study for MA in Music (Piano Accompaniment) with Kathryn Page and Derek Hyde at Canterbury Christ Church College (now University). Nearly 30 years experience playing for Faversham Choral Society rehearsals and concerts (go to https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PDJ_aeMWZZ4 for a recording of an FCS concert featuring Ian’s playing), also 10 years for Kent Competitive Festival, concerts for Canterbury Musicians, slots in other miscellaneous concerts, festivals and exams, working mostly with singers, but also with instrumentalists.

Exam fee normally £35 plus travelling expenses (can be less for a short, low grade exam; or more for a long exam, or if more than one hour's rehearsal is required)
