Jerryl graduated with a Bachelors of Music (Degree with Honours), specialising in Music Performance from the Univeristy of Melbourne, studying under distinguished Steinway artist, Professor Ian Holtham. Jerryl also attained a LTCL Piano Performance Diploma when he was 16.

Jerryl is currently the Company Pianist for Singapore Ballet, providing musical accompaniment for ballet classes. He is also a music teacher, having taught both children and adults at Volaris Music Centre while he was based in Melbourne. As a pianist, he has also performed and taken part in competitions, attaining 2nd place in the Melbourne International Piano & Strings Festival Competition in 2019. He is also experienced in collaborating with vocalists and other instrumentalists.
