An experienced pianist, organist, and accompanist in many genres, ranging from art song to gospel music, jazz, musical theater, pop, sacred music, and avant-garde works, I have worked with individual artists, chamber groups, and choirs, and as a soloist and music director at weddings, funerals, and community events. Currently Director of Music at Gary United Methodist Church (Wheaton, IL), Assistant Conductor and Collaborative Pianist for the Downers Grove Choral Society, Principal Pianist for Anima – Glen Ellyn Children's Chorus, and Accompanist for Young Naperville Singers, along with freelance accompanying (including experience playing for NATS, S&E festivals, and collegiate recitalists) and teaching.
I received my B.M. magna cum laude from the Wheaton College Conservatory of Music, where I developed a broad and varied repertoire and perfected my technique and sight-reading skills, distinguishing myself as a reliable and competent performer. As a choral musician, I have played under the baton of distinguished conductors from across the U.S. and conducted various ensembles, including being a student honors conductor of the Wheaton College Concert Choir, guest conducting community choruses, directing church choirs, and music directing in theaters.
I look forward to the challenge and joy of working with any fellow musician committed to artistry, and am committed to playing for you with detail, stylistic awareness, and heart.
