I have a BA in Music Education. I have played the piano since I was 7 years old. I began accompanying choirs and soloists when I was in middle school. In college, I also became an organist, giving recitals and occasionally accompanying the choir and soloists. For 3 of the 15 years I was a church organist/pianist, I accompanied the choir and soloists at rehearsals and on Sunday mornings. Later, I also provided organ supply at a variety of churches. Because I sang a variety of good literature in choirs, from age 3 on up--I am an alto, I am good at taking direction and have a good feel for what the director will want to rehearse next, as well as being sensitive to tempi and the general intent of each piece. I'm also good at sight-reading.
