Jie Ying started learning the piano at the age of 5 where she studied with her father. By the age of 7, she was already involved in many public solo and ensemble performances with the Musikinder Ensemble.

In 2005 and 2007 respectively, she achieved a Distinction for both her ATCL and LTCL Piano Performance Diploma Examinations from Trinity Guildhall.

In 2011, she graduated with a Distinction in Music Performance (Diploma) from Nanyang Academy of Fine Arts (NAFA), where she studied under the tutelage of Dr Paul Liang (Graduated from Julliard School of Music) throughout the three years Diploma course. She won third prize in the 2010 NAFA Music Essentials Concerto Competition Piano Category with Saint Saens' Piano Concerto no. 2 in G minor.

Jie Ying has had the opportunities to study under many great pianists all over the world including Ms Rena Phua (Hong Kong), Toh Chee Hung (Singapore), Dennis Lee (Singapore), Yaron Kohlberg (Israel), Julian Jacobson (UK), Dina Parakhina (UK), Tong-II Han (Korea), Gordon Fergus Thompson (UK).

During her studies in RCM London, she studies under John Blakely, who has an international reputation as a chamber musician and accompanist.

She was awarded the Ngee Ann Kongsi Merit Award twice and was being offered the Yamaha Scholarship in 2010 during her studies in Nanyang Academy of Fine Arts. Jie Ying is currently under the tutelage of Professor Boris Kraljevic and holds a First Class Honours degree from the prestigious Royal College of Music London.
Graduated MMus with Distinction from the University of Otago.

Often do piano accompaniments for a wide range of instruments including violin, viola, clarinet, flute, trumpet, trombone, tuba, euphonium, vocal, chinese instruments and many more.

Rate per hour starting from $70 depending on time given and difficulty of score, timings are flexible

Please pass me the score AT LEAST 2 weeks in advance, if not there'll be extra charges as well.
