The role of a good accompanist is to provide reliable, intuitive support to their fellow musicians in order that they fulfil their potential, whether they are taking their very first music exam or performing professionally. With over 20 years experience as a professional piano accompanist I feel I am able to achieve this confidently. I am a Fellow of the I.S.M. and my mentor and inspiration for over a decade was international pianist Clifford Benson, whose musicianship and insight I try to reflect in my own work.

I am principal pianist for a number of award winning, Dorset based Choirs and Ihave been fortunate enough to perform with them for John Rutter and in workshop and concert settings under the baton of composer Will Todd. My work has led to performances at The Royal Festival Hall, St. John Smith’s Square and The American Embassy in London.

I have had successful partnerships with numerous singers, with performances taking me as far afield as Sydney Australia courtesy of a cultural exchange programme sponsored by Qantas. Before moving to Dorset I was official accompanist for Portsmouth Music Competition Festival for over 10 years as well as accompanist for students taking auditions and exams. I also perform as a freelance pianist in concert and function environments.

In 2012 I founded a project called, 'Musitiquity', designed to bring historic houses to life through music and authentic costume. I have appeared at venues around the country including Highclere Castle, The Jane Austen House Museum, Mottisfont, Mompesson House and The Royal Mint.

The above fee represents a pro-rata rehearsal fee. Other fees apply for exams and performances. I do not charge for travelling within a 10 mile radius.
