Luke Raffanti

Location:

Seattle

Additional Info:

Since moving to Seattle in 2017, he has been in demand as an accompanist for professional classical singers as well as for musical theater. He has played for Puget Sound Stings, Opera Unbound, Northwest Opera in Schools, the international Francis Walton Competition, Seattle Pro Musica, Seattle Opera, Seattle Art Song Society, Seattle Modern Opera Company. As a trained operatic tenor himself, Luke can offer vocal coaching and singers particularly appreciate his sensitivity to their needs: reliable yet flexible and expressive playing and an easy-going rehearsal style.
Luke has been the collaborative pianist at Richmond Beach Church of Christ since 2021, where he plays weekly prelude and postlude solos on the organ and piano, provides improvised underscoring, as well as accompanying in a variety of styles, from classical to modern.
Besides accompanying, Luke commands a wide repertoire (including plenty of virtuosic solo repertoire) and gives concerts solo and in collaboration with other professionals and skilled amateurs. Luke teaches piano, composition, and voice from his home studio. Luke received his BM in classical piano performance from the nationally-ranked Oberlin Conservatory of Music.
