Mekhriban Mamedova is a classically trained concert pianist and vocalist. She joined The Cantemus Singers in 2026, as an Alto. Born in Moscow, Russia, she has been singing in choirs and playing the piano since she was 6 years old. In addition to singing and playing the piano, Mekhriban regularly plays pipe organ and various percussion instruments.
Throughout her music career in Ontario, Canada, Mekhriban has performed with Toronto Mendelssohn Choir, St. James Cathedral choirs, Trinity College Evensong Choir (Trinity College, University of Toronto), Toronto Festival Singers, and St. Basil Catholic Church choirs (St. Michael’s College, University of Toronto), to name a few. She performs regularly with various churches across Greater Toronto Area, including Catholic, Anglican, United, and Presbyterian denomination congregations, to name a few, both as a service pianist and as a choir/cantor/solo accompanist. Finally, Mekhriban has performed as a pianist/accompanist for opera projects across GTA, in addition to giving solo piano recitals and performances at St James Cathedral (Toronto) and Church of St Peter and St Simon-the-Apostles (Toronto), to name a few.
Mekhriban is a graduate with Honors of the Gnessins State Musical College (Moscow, Russia), majoring in classical /concert piano.
