Michael graduated from a masters course at the Guildhall School of Music & Drama where he studied with Katya Apekisheva and Charles Owen. He read music at Girton College, Cambridge and graduated in 2012 where he was a music scholar and studied piano with Lucy Parham.
Michael is an experienced accompanist and chamber musician and has recently performed in several music festivals as well as for the Piano Trio Society. Michael was awarded the Viola Tunnard Scholarship as a Britten-Pears Young Artist in 2018 and performed several recitals in the Aldeburgh festival.
Michael is now studying for his doctorate at the Thornton School of Music, USC. He has a teaching assistantship and was awarded the Gwendolyn Kodolfsky award.
Michael is equally adept at accompanying singers and instrumentalists and is happy to tackle challenging repertoire for concerts as well as help prepare for grade exams and auditions.

Fees for exams or auditions for University and Music College depend on Grade; repertoire required and distance to travel. The basic rehearsal rate of $50 will apply for any rehearsals prior to the exam or audition.
