As a versatile pianist with an active professional career of performances and collaborations in Europe, Asia, Africa, and the Americas, I offer a solid and diverse skill set across performing, teaching, coaching, and mentorship. I am currently an ABD-DMA candidate at the University of North Carolina at Greensboro (UNCG), on track to complete my program in May 2024, where I serve as a Teaching Assistant in the Music Department.
I hold degrees across multiple keyboard instruments (modern piano, historical keyboards—harpsichord, clavichord, and fortepiano—and organ) and theater, as well as broad experience in both chamber music and large ensembles playing. My extensive knowledge of piano, chamber music, and large ensemble literature, derived in part from projects supported by major institutions in the US and EU, spans both inside and outside the Western canon, including works by women and diverse composers.
I have recorded and premiered new music with UNCG Symphonic Orchestra and Wind Ensemble and conducted undergraduate and graduate workshops on the intersection of theater and music for social change. Other responsibilities at UNCG include accompanying and couching instrumentalists at graduate level, which in the upcoming semester will expand to collaborating with the Singing department. Throughout the program, I have showcased my skills as the Harpsichordist/Fortepianist for the UNCG Historical Performance Consort, besides serving as the Organist for Our Lady of Grace in Greensboro where I direct the choir rehearsals. Previous experience as collaborative pianist include working for the Singing and Musical Theater departments at the Royal Northern College of Music and accompanying the Catholic University Choir in Manchester (UK), being the accompanist and couch for Master students’ exams at Centre Européen de Recherche et de Pratique Musicales de Saintes in France, and the collaborative pianist for Colin Metters’s Conducting Masterclasses in Esposende (Portugal), and the Singing Summer Masterclass in Arran (Scotland). Furthermore, I have held the Orchestral Pianist position at the Orquesta del Auditorio de la Diputación de Alicante and the Orquesta del Reino de Aragón in Spain, and participated frequently in other orchestral projects in Italy (Orchesta della Toscana), France (Jeune Orchestre Atlantique), Portugal (Atlantic Coast Orchestra), and the USA (Greensboro Symphony Orchestra). From 2010 to 2018, I was the Orchestral Pianist of the World Orchestra, performing concert tours in Mexico, Netherlands, Spain, and South Africa, and participating in socio-cultural exchange music educational programs in both Latin America and Africa through its United in Music initiative, as well as collaborating with the “El Sistema” branch in Argentina.
