Paul Morin is a classical trained pianist, contemporary composer and artist. He was a prizewinner at the Music Club of Douglaston Piano Competition. For two consecutive years, Paul was awarded The Suffolk County Piano Forum Prize. His recent public piano performances include UTEQ University in South America, Steinway Hall NYC, The United Nations, Spectrum NYC, Faust Harrison Hall, Blackbox Theater, Saint Peters NYC, and The Staller Center. Paul has performed with The Stony Brook Symphony Orchestra and The New York University Symphony Orchestra. He is professionally associated with the College Music Society and The American Composers Forum.

As a composer, Paul’s music has been used in film, theater, musicals and concerts. Recent and current projects include composing for a live radio show of Dracula, orchestrating and arranging for the Modern and Surreal Opera “The Paradox Box” and the musical “Rip van Winkle.” He has also composed and orchestrated for short film including “The Masque of the Red Death,” “Quark Particle Generation” and “Static in Movements.” As a music director and video artist, he has worked on “The Kingdom,” “Motion Sickness,” “Slowing Down,” and “Six Arm Motion.” In 2011, Paul released his record for solo piano Succession of Images.

As an artist, Paul’s works can be currently viewed at a solo exhibition at Spectrum NYC Art Gallery and other venues in New York. His recent art showing have been at Ward-Nasse Gallery, ARTBAR, Logos and Port Jefferson Village Center. Gallery and Studio Magazine wrote in a recent article: “Paul’s art comprised of soft variegated strokes and streaks of vibrant color strike one as notes in a kind of visual music.”

Being an avid educator, Paul implements master classes in New York and South America. He recently taught master classes in the Performing Arts Conservatory of New York and The Cultural House of Quevedo in Ecuador. He has also been an Adjunct-instructor at New York University. In 2008, Paul received a Masters Degree in performance from New York University where he studied piano under Martin Canin and composition under Justin Dello Joio. In 2006, he received a Bachelor Degree of Music from Stony Brook University studying piano under Christina Dahl and composition under Max Duykers.
