With a strong musical background as a skilled composer, pianist, flutist, and vocal-ist, Quentin has received recognition for his compositions in The Sarah and Ernest Butler Aus-tin Symphony Young Composers Composition Competition and had his own piece performed and recorded by the Austin Symphony. He also made finalist two years in a row in the Young Composers Challenge, and honorable mention in the MTNA 2013-2014 Jr. Div. Composition Competition. Quentin’s other achievements include having won the XII Sonatina and Sonata International Youth Piano Competition and performed his winning repertoire at Carnegie Hall. He has studied music under some of the most prolific professors including nationally-recognized James Syler for composition, Dr. Ara Koh from the University of the Incarnate Word for piano, and Ms. Martha Long, principal flutist in the San Antonio Orchestra for flute. Also, Quentin has had experience teaching in his own private studio to a number of students around Frederick county and being the musical director for Crystal Sea Drama Company’s Seussical the Musical. In addition, Quentin is actively involved in the community by performing for his church, for dinners, weddings, funerals, and plays. He recently participated with the Frederick Youth Orchestra Philharmonic, and the Youth Music Academy choir and orchestra, and is cur-rently studying for his B. S. in Music Production at Full Sail University. Quentin’s ultimate goal is to glorify God and enjoy Him forever.
