I have loved every minute of playing the piano since I was 6 years old. Piano and singing are my passions. I grew up singing and playing piano for my family group at church. We won a NC state singing 2 years in a row. I was my church pianist from age 12-17. As an adult, I have played for many different churches.
Most recently, I enjoyed playing piano for 1st Baptist Church of Leesburg, FL at their traditional music 9:30 service. They have an orchestra and a lovely choir and director and were a joy to play for. This past summer we did a musical called “Loving the Lamb” in which I was also blessed to get a vocal solo part.
I am so thankful for every church I have played for. My latest NC pianist position in was for Mt. Pleasant United Methodist Church in Mt. Pleasant, NC. While there, I played for 3 services. We had 2 traditional and one contemporary service. I also taught piano lessons while there. In the contemporary service, much of the playing I did was composed in my head as I played-- we used chord sheets. For the contemporary service, I also planned our songs and led practices. At the traditional services, we did choir specials and hymns. I am an exceptional sightreader and really do enjoy the challenge of playing music I have never seen.
Worship time at church is very important and dear to my heart. I love being involved in praising God and thanking God by offering my praise. It is the least any of us can do when we look at what Jesus did for us. It changes lives to bring the sacrifice of praise even when life is not working out exactly as you had hoped it would! All of a sudden, you can see that God has a plan and you have hope. Music is a powerful tool that God has given us to connect with Him in an amazing way.

$ 75.00 Dollars Per Hour
I am looking for a church pianist position that pays approximately $200 per week. This fee would include 1 weekly rehearsal & 1 worship service per week. I am also available for more than one rehearsal per week or more than one worship service per Sunday at a different rate.
