Biography
Vanessa García Diepa is a distinguished Spanish pianist who has achieved great success as a concert performer. Born in Gran Canaria, she studied music there under Nicole Postel, consistently earning top marks. After settling in Barcelona, she completed her studies, earning a postgraduate diploma in piano under Maestro Ramón Coll. Simultaneously, she obtained diplomas in chamber music, opera singing, and choral conducting.
She studied the operatic repertoire with Mark Hastings and Dalton Baldwin. Vanessa García Diepa is a member of the Academy for Young Pianists and Singers at the Maggio Musicale Fiorentino (Italy), where she performed the role of Maestro Collaboratore-Répétiteur alongside Bo Price and Bernadette Manca di Nissa. Due to her great musical versatility, she has served on the juries of several prestigious piano and vocal competitions, including the Viñas Tenor Competition (Barcelona) and the Pedro Espinosa Piano Competition (Gran Canaria).
Vanessa García Diepa is a rehearsal pianist at the Gran Teatre del Liceu in Barcelona. She works as an assistant conductor and vocal coach. Her contribution to the opera's grand piano solo program is particularly noteworthy.The Queen of Spadesof Tchaikovsky. She has recently given recitals at the Aix-en-Provence Festival, the Gstaad New Year Music Festival, the Auvers-sur-Oise Festival, the Great Slovak Voices (Bratislava), Wiener Staatsoper with Pretty Yende.
She has performed with many renowned singers such as Dolora Zajick, Irene Theorin, Nadine Sierra, Lisette Oropesa, Angel Gheorghiu, Javier Camarena, Carlos Álvarez, Jonas Kauffmann, Roberto Alagna, Jaume Aragall, Josep Carreras, Plácido Domingo and various conductors such as Gustavo Dudamel, Sebastian Weigle, Marco Armigiato, John DeMain, Andrew Davis, Nello Santi, Renato Palumbo, Riccardo Frizza, Giacomo Sagripanti, Giuseppe Finzi, Stéphane Denéve, Patrick Fournillier, Gustavo Gimeno, Dmitri Jurowski, etc.
Vanessa García Diepa was recently invited by the Spanish Embassy to give a recital with the Neemrana Music Foundation in New Delhi.
His future projects include several recitals with renowned singers in various international theatres and opera houses, and masterclasses across Europe.
