Melissa's Special Skills:
• Knowledge and mastery all of the following: string and wind repertoire,' operatic, music theater and art song repertoire, fundamentals of harmony, and skill in collaborating with one or more musical instruments as accompanist; Plus, being an operatic lyric soprano, Melissa has performed many of these selections she will be coaching herself. Or played for another singer in the studio, audition or performance.
• Knowledge of repertoire from all musical periods and past experience coaching and performing with young artists is part of Melissa's past work in the music field - colleges, high schools, elementary schools and universities.
• Ability to improvise and transpose on site are just a few of Melissa's special talents. This is a skill very few, if any, pianists have. Having perfect pitch is also a talent and skill Melissa has.
Accompany all choirs during choral classes is Melissa's speciality.
Conduct and accompany all sectionals for choral rehearsals is only part of Melissa's past employment.
Proficient at working with music and theater directors.
Demonstrated expert proficiency at all performances with the choirs.
Strong site-reading capabilities of all genre's of music.
Rehearsing the pit orchestra - Melissa is an expert singer, pianist and former flute player.

Melissa also can just listen to and play pop, rock and country music for all of her students -male or female - and work with them on their vocals as well as transpose that song for them in any key that is right for them by ear. Nobody is better at arranging than Melissa.
