I have studied piano for ten years, currently at the junior department of the RSAMD. Having gained Distinction in my ABRSM Grade VIII, I am now working towards a performance diploma (DipABRSM). Groups I have played with include the National Youth Orchestra of Scotland (pianist for two years), Perth Youth Orchestra (performed Gershwin's "Rhapsody In Blue" as the concerto soloist), RSAMD Junior Academy First Orchestra and also the RSAMD Junior Academy Wind Quintet (playing piano for the Poulenc "Sextour"). I have played in a masterclass with Graeme McNaught; won the Piano Recital Prize in the Perth Music Festival in 2010 and have won the McFatridge Rosebowl for the most outstanding piano performance in the Perth Music Festival in both 2009 and 2010.
I accompany many different groups and instruments- I have worked as a rehearsal accompanist with an amateur operatic society for two years, have been an orchestral pianist with several groups playing music ranging from the classical period right up to late 20th century compositions. I also accompany many soloists- both vocal and instrumental- in concerts, lessons and rehearsals.
I passed Grade VIII on organ over a year ago; have played at masterclasses with Dr. John Kitchen and Dr. George McPhee; and have given a solo recital at Kelvingrove Art Gallery and Museum. I held the post of Principal Organist at St Matthew's Church, Perth, for three years and am currently a freelance organist around Perthshire.
I am a proficient SIGHT READER, learning up to six hymns and four pieces of Grade V-VII standard in under a week for church services, so would be likely to help out at rather short notice. |

£ 20.00 Pounds Per Hour
Will vary depending upon the level of difficulty (and practise required) of the repertoire. Half hourly rate is more.
I can also provide piano lessons at a rate dependent on the level of the pupil. |
