Wade Meyers is a collaborative pianist, organist, and harpsichordist with over two decades of experience across classical, contemporary, sacred, and Latin repertoire. His collaborative work includes recitals with members of the National Symphony Orchestra and faculty of the Peabody and Oberlin Conservatories, along with performances alongside musicians at every level, from elementary students through doctoral candidates. As a composer, his original music has been performed on three continents.
A confident sight-reader who prepares repertoire quickly and on short notice, Wade is equally at home in worship, recital, audition, competition, and pit-orchestra settings. He has played for musical theatre productions including The Fantasticks, Assassins, Little Shop of Horrors, Legally Blonde, School of Rock, and Babes in Toyland, and served as Director of Music and Worship Arts for Gaithersburg Presbyterian Church, one of the largest and most diverse music ministries in the Washington, D.C. area.
He trained at Stetson University with Steinway Artist Michael Rickman and at George Mason University with Anna Balakerskaia, in a lineage that traces through Alexander Siloti to Franz Liszt. He has further studied tango with Latin Grammy winner Pablo Estigarribia, improvisation with Harold Blanchard, Irish traditional music with Lexie Boatright, voice with Carol Westcott, sacred music and liturgy with Lynn Monkres, and carillon with John Widmann, City Carillonneur of Frederick, Maryland.
