St. Mark's church is a small congregation with two Sunday worship services: 9:00 AM (English) & 11:15 AM (Spanish).
The English service requires occasional onsite rehearsal, while the Spanish service requires weekly onsite rehearsal with 5 Spanish-speaking musicians. English worship uses traditional Lutheran liturgy and music selected by the lead pastor, while the Spanish service uses both contemporary and traditional Spanish music selected by the lead guitarist.

Espiritu Vocal Ensemble – Hiring Pianist
Location: North Shore, BC
Contract Term: September 2025 – April 2026
Compensation: $200 per rehearsal | $85/hour for concerts
Espiritu Vocal Ensemble is a dynamic, community-oriented choir seeking a collaborative pianist to accompany rehearsals and performances. The ideal candidate is an excellent sight-reader, musically versatile, and experienced in working with vocal ensembles. Repertoire includes contemporary, classical, jazz, and folk-inspired works.
Role Includes:
• Accompanying weekly rehearsals (Monday evenings) and seasonal concerts
• Supporting vocal warm-ups and sectionals (as needed)
• Leading rehearsals in the Artistic Director’s absence
• Preparing repertoire thoughtfully and reliably
• Collaborating closely with the Artistic Director and choir community
This is a contract position. It’s recommended that candidate have their own vehicle for transportation as the rehearsal venue is less accessible by transit.
We’re looking for a supportive musical partner who enjoys artistic collaboration and contributing to a spirited and welcoming choral environment.
